If money were no object..

This is a fun post for me to make, I´m going to indulge my fantasies a bit. Where do I even begin? I have been told I have expensive tastes, which I don´t think it necessarily true, but there are a few things that are way outta of my budget on my lust list. They are things I will one day buy, maybe, if I save harder and feel like I really deserve them, or better still if I get given them! Here´s to dreaming!

Cath Kidston´s wild strawberry print

I´m so excited to be going back to the UK in April for week. I need to do a bit of wedding planning back home, have a nice relaxing week back in the family ´nest´ and maybe (*definitely*) do a bit of shopping! I fancy having a day in Manchester and going to the Cath Kidston shop. It´s such a cheerful, vintage, feminine and quintessentially English style. I think my fiance feels like his musculinity is under threat and hates entering their shops! I love their strawberry print bags, especially the large tote bag. I use a ´carry all´ Cath Kidston bag every day at work, its so sturdy and durable, and the floral pattern is so distinctive. I have my sights set on the wild strawberry one now in the ´day bag´ style, I think its gorgeous and just the right size. We´ll see! Do you like Cath Kidston? What have you bought there? 

Estoy muy emocionada para pensar que voy el Reino Unido en Abril por una semana. Necesito hacer unos planes de boda en mi casa allí, relajarme, hacer nuevas cosas, y al mejor (*por supuesto*) ir a las tiendas! Quiero pasar un día en Manchester y ir a la tienda grandisima de Cath Kidston. Son tiendas tan alegres, femeninas, con el clásico estilo ingles prototipo. Me encanta sus bolsos del estampada de fresas, especialmente el bolso grande de hombro. Uso un bolso de Cath Kidston cada día para llevar todos los libros a mi trabajo. Ha sido una buena compra por que es tan durable, y el diseño es muy bonito y floreado. Bueno, ahora tengo fichado su bolso de las fresas, lo veo precioso, y de tamaña ideal. Jumper with birds

One of my guilty pleasures is having a browse around the shopping centre before work (I work afternoon/ evenings), especially in my beloved Zara. I suppose its completely normal that since I moved to Spain it´s become my favourite shop. I would say about 70% of my current wardrobe is made up of Zara items. That might be lack of alternatives, laziness on my part, or probably just because it´s fab. This is my newest purchase from the TRF part, I wasn´t so sure at first as the style is quite loose and I don´t ever really wear sweaters but the print is so pretty and I just think its quite unique. Whadya reckon? Should I keep it?

Uno de mis placeres inconfesables es ir a la centro comercial antes que ir al trabajo (trabajo los tardes), especialmente ir a Zara. Supongo que desde que vivo en España es normal es se ha convertido en mi tienda preferida, ¿no? Seguramente el 70% de mi armario es de esa tienda  Sera falta de buenas alternativas, pereza de mi parte, o probablemente por que Zara es tan maravillosa! Este es mi nuevo compra de la sección TRF, no estaba tan segura al principio por que el estilo es algo suelto pero el estampado de pájaros es tan bonito y creo que  es un poco curioso.  ¿Que pienses? ¿Me lo quedo?

Birthday presents

I blogged a few days ago about turning thirty and how it makes you re-think about how you look and your attitude to looking after yourself. One great thing about this milestone of a birthday is you get great presents!! Mine included my Michael Kors watch, new additions to my Pandora bracelet and some lovely Swarovski earrings. I love my jewellery as you can see! I´m so grateful (*soppy mode on*) to my wonderful family, fiance and friends. 

Hace unos días escribí sobre cumplirse treinta años pero lo bueno de llegar a tener treinta añazos es que te regalan cosas maravillosas! Review: Full of Grace, Lush´s unsung hero

If you´re looking for a rich skin treat, something soothing and hydrating to melt into your face and leave you silky smooth, pop into your local Lush store and try their serum bar Full of Grace. It won´t cost you much, not like a lot of serums out there which are packaged in  smart boxes and glass bottles, this is a little oval bar which you take home in a no-frills recycled paper Lush bag. You have to hold it in your hands for a minute or so to melt it slightly before you apply it to your face after cleansing so its not that hygienic sounding but you could keep it somewhere safe and handle it with very clean hands and it´ll be fine. It´s made using exotic Amazonian butters, rose oil, almond oil and portabello mushrooms so packed with antioxidante goodness and real ingredients, no water and silicones which are the primary ingredients of a lot of serums ou there. I used this last year and re-purchased it again in the autumn, its perfect in the winter when my skin feels a bit dry from central heating and cold weather, or just when I want to give my skin a good pamper at the weekend. I think as its so rich it would break me out if I used it very regularly or in the balmier summer months as I have combination skin that wouldnt react well to such a rich layer of serum. But right now Im loving this little bar! Well, I´ve sung its praises enough, oh and it only costs 7.99 in the UK! That´s brilliant for a serum. Have you tried it yet?

Si buscas un tratamiento rico, nutritivo y suave para cuidarte la piel profundamente y dejarla sedosa y radiante, hay que ir a tu tienda Lush y comprarte el serum Full of Grace. Para mi es un autentico tesoro low-cost! Es diferente de muchos de los serums que se vende en botellas y cajas, esta es una barrita solida que se vende simplemente en una bolsita de papel. Se derrite entres tus manos y lo aplicas directamente en la cara después de la rutina de limpieza. No suena muy higiénico o sofisticado pero si lo usas solo con manos limpisimas y lo guardas bien en una latita no pasa nada. Esta hecho de mantecas tropicales, petalos de rosa, aceite de almendras y champiñones portabellos frescos así que tiene todo bueno, natural y rico en antioxidantes, nada de agua y siliconas como la mayoría de los serums en las tiendas. Lo usé el año pasado en  invierno cuando sentí que mi piel estaba mas seca o tirante, o cuando faltaba un buen tratamiento hidrante. En otoño lo re-compre y estoy usandolo cada tres noches ahora. Creo que si lo uso con mas regularidad o si lo aplico en verano me saldrían granos como tengo la piel combinación. Ahora mismo lo estoy usando y estoy encantada! Bueno  os recomiendo, y el precio solo es 12.50 euros, esta muy bien, ¿no? :) ¿Lo has probado?

Last month I woke up one morning and I was thirty. After inspecting my face in the mirror I realised to my relief that I looked the same, in fact I reckon I look more or less the same as I did in my mid-twenties. Luckily I´ve worn sunscreen since I was seventeen, I drink lots of green tea and like eating well, and my mum looks great for her age which are all good indications that my face shrivel up like a sun-dried prune any time soon. However I´ve suddenly taken an interest in words like antioxidants, collagen, glycolic acid, AHAs, peptides, retinol... it´s all a bit overwhelming to be honest. Where do you start? Well according to experts the next 3-5 years are crucial, it is absolutely vital you look after your skin, and apparently reaching thirty-five will tell you whether you´ve done that well or not. This is what it says on Turning 30 - Aging Skin Beauty Tips - Marie Claire :  MD Skincare’s Dr. Dennis Gross puts it like this: “At 30, things are usually not as good as they appear. What lies beneath — cumulative sun damage, crumbling collagen and elastin [the support beams of still-plump skin], and disappearing blood vessels — is about to emerge as brown spots, wrinkles, and sallow and sagging skin if you don’t take care of it.” Quite scary? This is why I´m re-thinking my skincare regime. First I´m after a good antioxidant serum to use every day to wear under my sun protection, I´m waiting to receive a sample of Acai Damage Repairing Serum by Khiel´s. In the mornings I´ve stopped using a facial scrub, I think three times a week is fine. Im using micellar water instead which is much gentler, and cleanses well. El mes pasado me levante por la mañana con trienta años. Despues de inspectar mi cara en espejo descubri con alivio que parecio igual que el dia antes, de hecho parecio igual de hace cincos años mas o menos. Por suerte llevaba protector solar en la cara desde que tenia dicisiete años, bebo mucho te verde y tengo la dieta sana, tambien mi madre esta estupenda por su edad, Supongo todo eso significa que no voy a tener la cara como un bolso de piel de crocodilo pronto. There are three new things I want to show you. First, my new boyfriend jeans, exactly what I wanted. I spotted them in the sales in Zara and grabbed ´em! I´ll wear them when the weather is warmer with some strappy heels!

Hay tres prendas nuevas que quiero enseñaros, primero mis nuevos vaqueros estilo ´boyfriend´, exactamente lo que estaba buscando. Los veo en las rebajas en Zara y los coji!  Los llevare con unos sandalias de tacón.
