Zara sales mini haul

It´s July in Seville and that means a heavy, suffocating heat descends upon the city and embeds itself into the atmosphere until about mid September. And when I say heat I mean anything between 35 and 45 degrees for the best part of the afternoon. pretty grim! So people start to hibernate indoors and sit under the airconditioning until it cools down slightly in the evening. One great thing however about this month is that on the 1st of July the Zara webpage sale springs into life and suddenly my bank cards appear and get a battering as I greedily grab all the goodies I´ve had my eye on during the season. So, here you are- my haul so far!

I love the pumpkin colour coat as I think it will be nice for in-between seasons, and its also a very classic, lady-like shape! I snapped the bag up as I think a black leather bag is never lost, and I love the gold chain detail. And the ethnic blazer is quite eye-catching and a bit of a statement piece. I saw it on a few bloggers and wanted it so much but couldn´t quite justify the price so I jumped to buy it when I saw it instore in my size, there was one left! And half price! I love a bargain. I´m thinking about teaming it will an all black look and some gold accessories!

And I also picked up two rather pretty tops. The first one is a sort of delicate lacey top in soft beige, which I liked because I like tops that have a sort of romantic, vintage look. The other is a sheer ivory top with lovely detail around the collar part.

What a surprise, there are some lovely spring clothes in the shops at the moment. My favourite is this lovely sky blue jacket from Zara TRF. I´ve already bought the beige suede jacket from Mango recently so I´m definitely not allowed another, maybe I will be lucky in the summer sales though. Here are a few more picks. What do you think?

Pues que sorpresa, hay tanta ropa bonita en las tiendas en esto momento. Mi favorito es este chaqueta en azul claro estampado de Zara TRF. Como acabo de comprarme la chaqueta de ante de Mango no me puedo permitir otro... del momento. Aqui pongo unas cosas que me han llamado la atención en los principios de este mes. ¿Que opináis?

Easter has been a fun week despite the mixed weather here in southern Spain. Apart from the tapas and easter processions, I got to go shopping with my sister, which is a big treat for both of us as live in different countries, we get on so well, oh and we both love a  bit of retail therapy, the type where you end up loaded with bags, a happy half-guilty smile and a lighter purse. I´ve still got a soft spot for wearing animal print on clothes, it´s something I´m wondering when I´ll grow out of! This sheer top from Zara TRF is my latest. It´s very cute for spring and looks great with a little white strappy cami under. It costs 19,90 euros. 

 La Semana Santa ha sido una semana muy divertido a pesar del tiempo mixto aquí en el sur de España. Además de las tapas y procesiones de Semana Santa, tuve oportunidad de ir de  compras con mi hermana, que es un gran placer para nosotros ya que vivimos en países diferentes, nos llevamos tan bien, ah, y los dos nos encanta un poco de terapia de compras, el tipo donde terminan cargados con bolsas, una sonrisa feliz-culpable y la cartera más ligera. Todavía tengo un cariño especial por llevar el estampado animal en la ropa, es algo que me pregunto cuando voy superar! Esta blusita de Zara TRF es el ultimo prenda que compre. Es muy lindo para la primavera y su precio es de 19,90 euros.

Cutwork trend

I love the cutwork trend this spring, especially on bags and purses. It´s a bit of a reoccuring theme and I think it adds a bit of interest to otherwise simple things.

The Miranda Kerr jacket

I´m a little bit delighted with my latest purchase from Mango, the suede light beige jacket you have probably seen with the uber-gorgeous Miranda Kerr. It didn´t disappoint when I saw it instore and I tried it on and knew it had to come home with me. And its real leather and only 59.99 Euros so not bad at all. As there is still no sign of spring, not even a single ray of sunshine, just heavy rain and snow back home in the UK, I will get lots of wear out of this little jacket. Something interesting to know is that it comes in various colours, including pale pink, so for me it´s a case of resisting further temptation! There is a pleated coral skirt I have my eye on too. Tell me your thoughts, have you bought anything from Mango recently? I hope you enjoy Easter, I´ll be back next weekend. 

Estoy un poco encantado con mi última adquisición de Mango, la chaqueta de ante en beige claro que seguramente hayáis visto con el tan-guapa-que-es-ridículo Kerr Miranda. No me decepcionó cuando lo vi en directo y en cuanto  que me lo probé, supe que tenía que venir a casa conmigo. Y su piel auténtica y sólo 59,99 Euros, así que no está mal en absoluto! Como todavía no existe un signo de la primavera, ni siquiera un solo rayo de sol, sólo fuertes lluvias y incluso nieve en mi pueblo de Reino Unido, pues voy a tener un montón de uso de la chaqueta. Algo interesante es saber que viene en varios colores, como rosa pálido, así que para mí es un caso de resistir la tentación de más! Para ahora hay una falda plisada coral tengo fichado. A ver que piensa mi hermana quien me visita este semana santa. Dime tus pensamientos, te he comprado nada de Mango recientemente? Espero que paséis un buen semana santa, vuelvo el fin de semana que viene!

It´s quite a pleasure to step into Mango these days, their Spring collection is nice and  classic, you must have seen all the ads around town. Shame though when I tried on a few things I didn´t turn into Miranda Kerr...

Tribal spring

I can´t say I´m a huge fan of the ethnic trend that has resurfaced again this spring, I think I´m tired of seeing it and it can look a bit... scruffy? Having said that there are some things in the shops have a tribal edge but are still feminine and a bit gorgeous! What do you think?

No soy gran fan de la tendencia etnica que ha reaparecido en las colecciones otra vez este primavera, creo que estoy cansada de verlo, y hay muchas prendas de este rollo que son un poco grunge para mi gusto. Swans

I loved seeing the Russian State Ballet & Orchestra of Siberia´s Swan Lake at Manchester´s Bridgewater Hall in for my birthday treat in January 2012 so I decided to spend my christmas money I had been given on this necklace by Swarovski. I haven´t seen it on anybody so I think it´s quite unique and I love the delicacy of it. Its blingy and sparkly but also discreet. 

Me encanto el ballet Lago de Cisnes del Ballet de Rusia & Orquestra de Siberia que vi en el Manchester Bridgewater Hall en enero de 2012 para celebrar mi cumpleaños. Despues decidí a usar el dinero que me han regalado en este collar de Swarovski. No lo he visto en nadie así que supongo es único y me encanta su delicadez. Es brillante y llamativa pero a discreto al vez.

I got this giant swan candle from the Zara Home sale. I had my eye on it as soon as it came into the store and when it went into the sales I couldn´t resist. I won´t ever light it, its too pretty!

Preppy blazers

This is a bit of an embarrassing post, I seem to have collected quite a few blazers over the last few years. I don´t usually buy the same item in different colours as I try to vary my wardrobe contents but it appears I haven´t been able to resist. Plus they´re all from Zara! It´s just blazers are so comfy, they combine with everything!- boyfriend jeans, girly dresses, and smart preppy work wear. So far, and maybe I should stop now, I´ve got one in navy blue, light grey, pale pink, coral, and mint...Is there anyone else out there with a bit of a blazer fetish or a collection of any other clothing item?

No me había dado cuenta que estaba repitiendo tanto los blazers de Zara sobre los últimos dos o tres años. No suelo comprarme la misma prenda en diferentes colores por que intento tener un poco de variación en el armario pero por lo visto no he podido resistir! Encima que todos son de Zara! Es que los blazers son tan cómodos y combinan  con todo, vaqueros boyfriend, vestidos gaseosos, y la ropa de trabajo. Los tengo hasta ahora, y al mejor no debo compras mas, un marino, gris claro, rosa palo, corral y verde menta...Hay alguien mas allí que tiene una colección de blazers o de alugna otra prenda?

dreaming of spring

I couldn´t resist this long skirt from Spanish shop Pull & Bear. Its a flattering ballerina pink and silky material. I´d like to wear it with white bandeau top and a denim jacket as soon as its warm enough. 

No he podido resistirme esta falda de Pull & Bear. Es un tono de rosa bailarina muy favorecido y la tela es sedoso al tacto. Me lo voy a poner con un top blanco y chaqueta vaquera en cuanto hace mejor tiempo.

I love this crochet style cream top from Blanco. I love softer muted colours for spring and this can be combined easily with light coloured trousers or boyfriend jeans for a comfortable look.

These boots are from Berksha. They´re really comfortable with a chunky heel and its nice to have ankle boots in a lighter tan colour for spring. I´ll wear them for skinny jeans and dresses. The thought of bare legs... pass me that fake tan!

I seem to have bought more clothes than ever this winter. I remember when it first started to feel chilly in late October and I realised I needed to stock up for the cold season and invest a bit. Of all my purchases here are some of my favs.
